This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) applies to all students, applicants, parents/guardians and other persons who enrol in or make any payment towards courses, programs, training, workshops, services or other educational activities offered by ENVISAGE INSTITUTE OF DESIGN (“Institute”).
1. Applicability to Existing and New Admissions
This Policy is effective from 31 August 2026 and shall apply to admissions, enrollments and payments made on or after the Effective Date, subject to applicable law.
For students who were admitted or who made payments before 31 August 2026, including students admitted or payments made from June 2026 onwards, the terms, fee conditions, admission documents, application forms, receipts, undertakings, communications and other conditions that were communicated or accepted by the student at the time of admission/payment shall continue to govern the relevant transaction, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to retrospectively alter or impose new contractual terms upon an existing student.
2. Non-Refundable Fees
Unless otherwise required under applicable law or expressly agreed in writing by the Institute, all fees paid towards admission, registration, enrollment, tuition, courses, training, workshops, study material, examination, certification, administrative charges or other educational/service-related activities are non-refundable and non-transferable once paid.
Where the non-refundable nature of the applicable fee was communicated and accepted by a student at the time of admission or payment, such terms shall be considered along with the applicable admission documents and records.
3. Change of Mind / Voluntary Discontinuation
Fees shall not be refundable merely because a student:
* changes their mind after enrollment;
* voluntarily withdraws from the course/program;
* decides not to continue the course;
* does not attend classes;
* remains absent from classes;
* fails to participate in the course or activities;
* does not respond to the Institute’s communications or follow-ups; or
* is unable or unwilling to continue the course for personal, academic, professional or other reasons.
Non-attendance or voluntary discontinuation does not, by itself, create a right to a refund.
4. Admission and Course Services
Once admission/registration formalities have been initiated or completed, a seat/batch has been allocated, or course-related services, orientation, classes, training, academic support, study material or other facilities have been provided or made available, the applicable fees shall remain non-refundable, subject to applicable law and the terms applicable to the student’s admission.
5. Failure to Complete Admission Formalities
Where a student has made payment but subsequently fails to complete required admission, registration, documentation, verification or other formalities, does not attend the scheduled process, or does not comply with reasonable requirements communicated by the Institute, the payment shall not automatically become refundable.
The Institute may consider such cases based on the circumstances, the terms applicable at the time of payment, services already provided or allocated, and applicable law.
6. Exceptional / Legally Required Refunds
Nothing in this Policy shall exclude, restrict or waive any refund, cancellation right or other remedy that the Institute is legally required to provide under applicable law.
Where a refund is legally required or is approved by the Institute in exceptional circumstances, the amount and method of refund shall be determined in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the case.
7. Duplicate or Excess Payment
In case of a genuine duplicate payment or excess payment resulting from a verified transaction error, the Institute may, after verification, process the eligible excess amount through the original or an appropriate payment method.
8. Third-Party Fees and Payments
Where any amount is collected or paid towards a university, examination body, certification authority, payment gateway or other third-party service provider, the refundability of such amount shall also be subject to the applicable third-party terms and applicable law.
9. Refund Request Procedure
Any refund-related request must be submitted in writing to:

The request should include the student’s full name, course/program, date of payment, payment/receipt reference and reason for the request.
Submission of a refund request does not itself constitute approval of a refund.
10. Approved Refunds
Where a refund is approved or legally required, the Institute shall communicate the applicable amount and process the refund within a reasonable period, subject to verification and applicable banking/payment-processing timelines.
11. Acceptance of Fee and Admission Terms
By submitting an application/admission form, enrolling in a course, accepting admission, commencing classes or making payment of any fee, the student and/or payer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review the applicable admission, fee, refund and other terms communicated by the Institute and agrees to comply with them, subject to applicable law.
12. Records and Communications
The Institute may maintain admission forms, fee receipts, acknowledgements, written undertakings, emails, messages, attendance records and other relevant records as evidence of the terms communicated to and accepted by the student at the relevant time.
13. Amendments to this Policy
The Institute may amend or update this Policy from time to time. Any updated Policy shall be published on the Institute’s official website and shall apply prospectively from the date specified therein, subject to applicable law.
14. Governing Law
This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts/authorities having jurisdiction over [Mumbai, Maharashtra], subject to applicable law.
